Dr. Parkinson is Chief Medical Officer of Myca. He attended Penn State College of Medicine and subsequently completed a pediatric residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in Greenwich Village in New York City. After completing his first residency, he went to Johns Hopkins University to do a residency in Preventive Medicine where he also earned his Masters in Public Health Degree. While completing his residency at Johns Hopkins, he worked with Sidney Wolfe at Public Citizen and wrote multiple petitions to the FDA to ban drugs that were found to be unsafe after going to market. Dr. Parkinson also worked at the Johns Hopkins Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care where he focused on improving patient safety and communication by applying Toyota's Lean Management techniques to healthcare processes. After completing his residency at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Parkinson opened the first medical practice in the United States to marry the latest forms of digital communication with house calls. His website and practice have been featured in Wired, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo's People of the Web along with multiple television appearances. He joined Myca as a member of a talented team focused on creating open digital communication channels between patients and doctors.

He is responsible for providing clinical and strategic support in the development of Myca's platform and Hello Health, a revolutionary primary care practice that establishes a new paradigm in the way physicians diagnose, treat, and undertake longitudinal management of patients. Dr. Khozin has extensive experience working with healthcare technology and pharmaceutical companies in various capacities including as an independent consultant. His efforts have focused on formulating strategies for increasing physician autonomy for better patient care, promotion of free market principles in healthcare for controlling costs and improving quality, and assurance of ethical practices in the pharmaceutical industry. While doing his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, St. Vincent's Hospital, Dr. Khozin served on the Integrated Scientific and Ethical Review Board Committee, where he was responsible for the review and approval of all human subjects research conducted at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers in New York City. He received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neurobiology and Physiology and attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, graduating with honors in ambulatory medicine. He also holds a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree from George Washington University. Dr. Khozin has conducted public health research on disease prevention and infection control and basic science research at the Laboratory of Cell Regulation and Carcinogenesis at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), working in the company of Nobel Laureates and alongside a team of world-class scientists on the development of novel therapeutic targets for breast cancer. He is the recipient of several academic awards including the Abraham Lilienfeld Award in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and the NIH Research Award.
